A therapy intensive is a longer, more focused period of counseling that gives us more time to work through something than we normally have in a weekly session.
Most therapy sessions are around 50 minutes, which can sometimes feel too short when you're trying to unpack something complicated or something you've been carrying for a while. An intensive gives us several hours together to slow down, focus on what is going on, and work through the areas where you feel stuck.
Intensives may be a good fit if you have something specific you want to work through more deeply, you're going through a difficult season, or meeting for regular weekly counseling isn't realistic with your schedule.
What to Expect
Before your intensive, you'll complete questionnaires and forms so I can understand what you're coming in with and prepare for our time together.
Your intensive will have a structured schedule with breaks built into the extended time. We will use our time to focus on your specific concerns and goals, which may include processing experiences, identifying patterns, learning practical tools, and figuring out what comes next. The specific schedule and timing of breaks will be discussed when your intensive is booked.
My approach combines clinical counseling with a Christian perspective, so if faith is important to you, there is room for that in our work together.
Intensive Options
Half Day Intensive: 4 hours | $800
Full Day Intensive: 8 hours | $1,400
Additional Half Day: 4 hours | $450
Available for continued work following completion of an initial half day or full day intensive. This option must be scheduled within three months of the original intensive and is subject to availability.
Before You Book
Therapy intensives are private pay and are not covered by insurance. A 25% deposit is required to reserve your intensive time.
Because intensives are more focused and require extensive preparation ahead of time, the first step is a free consultation. This gives us a chance to talk through what you're looking for, make sure an intensive feels like the right fit, and answer any questions you may have.
If we decide an intensive is the right next step, we'll go over scheduling, the agreement, deposit, and everything you need to know before your intensive is officially booked.
You'll know the cost, expectations, and next steps before committing to an intensive.
